    New portawalls on the 51'

Well, the tires are like new, but the old portawalls were shot! Couldnt see spending the bucks for new whitewall tires. (and the car just dosent look right with black sidewalls!). So, got a set on ebay for $65 delivered and proceded to mount them..... Wow...what a PITA!! But after some trial and error (Dont use soapy water or ANY water for that matter!!) I finally gotem all on. Took it for a ride and the right two almost came completely off!!! Dont know why...the left was still perfect. I reinstalled them and now Im gonna just let it sit for a day or two and hope it seats itself. But they do look really great! Especially compared to the ones that were on it!

Oh yeah.....also got the sun visor re-mounted......

Found an easy way to break the bead.........

one old one and one new one mounted......

Trust everyone once. Just be cautious of what may be lost.
