What does the interior look like? What needs to be done to the car?
Just Curious as for $8,000 - That looks like a gem!

I got my 69 chevelle nomad off ebay. The auction expired without meeting reserve, and we haggled some. I gave him an extra $100 to drive it to my door. The car met or beat my expectations, so I cut him a check.

Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

I recently bought my Deuce coupe from a guy who's Ebay reserve wasn't met. I emailed and called him and we settled on a price and I had the car shipped from NJ to San Diego. Car is in as good as, if not better than, his Ebay description shape. I have also bought several other cars and one Harley Sportster on Ebay and, "knock on wood", they were all as described and in great conditon when they arrived. I sold my 1970 RoadRunner in less than 2 hours on Ebay with the "Buy It Now" feature. Guy drove all the way from San Fran to pick the car up. Ebay and Craig's List are the way to go if you're looking for something in the "rare" classification, IMO. Seems that no matter what you're after, one will show up on Ebay eventually (although you may have to be "creative" when entering your "search parameters" because sometimes I find stuff with weird "searches")
