stiff brake pedal
I was driving to work this morning in my '92 Ranger and the brake pedal got stiff, and hard to push/ stop... I'm gonna need a new booster or could the check valve be stuck? the pedal feels like it should ( right height and softness ) with the engine off..You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I didn't hear any hissing... I did however when the gasket for the check valve gave out 1 day.. but then I put in a new gasket and check valve and it was good again.. till this.. could the Napa valve be defective? You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
