Am I The Only One
I am having poblems with shifting the B&M Hammer shifter.I was curious if anyone with the hammer shifter has had any shifter problems?
I talked with Morgan today at B&M and he said we ship hundreds of these every week and have had no problems. It is slugish in the shift and the spring loaded pull pin.I have about 600 mi.on the unit .He suggested I spray it with WD 40.
Also the gear indicator light cable kinks when it enters the cable and does not indicate the proper gear. The angle appears to be to acute from the cable housing to the cable mount pin.He is sending me a new cable, says has never had any problems with the cable. He also said the unit is the same as when it came on the market.Don D

I'd think twice about using WD-40. IMHO the only thing WD-40 is good for is for helping to free rusted nuts and bolts.Ken Thomas

My son has one in his truck that has not worked the greatest. Definately no better than the Z-gate which is half the price.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
