    Thanks,i needed that! it seams this month my car has came to a halt.im triing to get the damn motor and tranny in but i got so many other things that ive put off this summer guess i better get them done or the wife says get a lawyer

    Nice pictures, thanks for posting them. Makes me want to put some nice paint on the old truck if and when that time comes. I like the primered trucks, and coupes but I also like the comfortable ones with leather, air, power windows, and more of the goodies.

    Thoughts . . .

    - All those colorful gassers were a lot more fun than the cookie-cutter sportsman cars today.

    - The Speed Sport roadster took me back to the late 50's in Alton, IL.

    - Did Willie's ashes make it to Famosa with the Winged Express?

    - Man, that had to be dusty.

    The painter and I were invited to another shop one day for a shop tour by a fabricator that we dearly miss. He said they had a project they were making headers for . What a fantastic place. When i saw the car my jaw hit the floor. This is nostalgia at its best. The men that drove these cars had balls of steel. No front brakes, the welds on the upper a-arms were scary to say the least. It was great to see how a race car of this era was built. The 427 sohc motor is a nos piece supposedly never fired up. The price tag was hefty. About 20 minutes into this a car pulls up. Ron covell steps out. What a fun day for a hot rod guy... You can see Ron in the background of the first pic.
