    Good Guys Show questions

I have never been to a Good Guys show but plan on attending the Southeastern show in Charlotte in Oct.

If you have a car in the show do you have to pay gate admission each day? I will have my wife, my oldest son and his g/f, and my 3 younger sons, 5, 6, and 8. A total of 7 people.

Also can you leave your car in the infield each night if you want, and do they have security?

I have been to several GoodGuys events and always enjoy them.
To answer your question the car entry ticket comes with two full weekend passes one for you and one for your wife. For the others in your group you can buy full pass for all show dates or just the days you want and can take care of that at registration.

You can not leave your car at the event over night. Need to drive the car in and out of the event area and they usually have a place for trailers outside of the event area like spectator parking outside of Lowe's Motor Speedway.

If you can take advantage of the Thursday Cruise where you tour many of the NASCAR shops. Kind of like a poker run.

When you go in dont forget to go by and get a picture of your ride that was taken as you enter. Also I know in Ks. and Tx. for a donation you can take a spin around the track towards the end of the day and get your rides picture taken then also.

Yeah they do the spin around the track in charlotte. I know of people that have done that, and plus it's mentioned in the events section.

When you pick up your registration packet ask for kids passes for the three younguns. They are free.

I haven't been to Charlotte in several years, but if you want to run the track on Saturday nite you need to tell them at registration. They will give you a track pass. Most people get them even if they don't run, and sometimes you can pick up extra ones from friends or acquaintenances who get them but don't run.

Also as Allen stated, at registration get free passes for you kids. I always took my daughter and she was always free. I never left a car there, but I would not be surprised if others didn't do it. I know people leave their cars at other events. Not supposed to leave any tents/canopies up and I know for a fact that they will knock them down and they don't care whether or not they damage them.

Overall, Charlotte is one of my favorite events, lots to do, lots of places to stay and eat, and friendly people. Always a good trip.

I figured that they charged to go on the track. I've seen pictures of people's cars on the track at Charlotte with the Goodguys logo on it. You know that is gonna cost....LOL!

Unless they have changed their policy, there don't charge to run the track. You get three laps to strut your stuff. And don't even think about trying to pass the pace vehicles or they will usher you off. A lot of guys run the top of the track, and speeds are usually under 100. Slower vehicles usually run the apron. You can pass other carss, just not the pace vehicles.

I have done it 5 times all were fun except one. That was when I drove the 34. Me being over 6 feet tall combined with the 8 inch high windshield and the 4 inch chopped roof, doesn't provide you with much more than about 30 feet of front visibility, making the high banked turns rather hairy. The straights were great, but the turns were brutal. Much prefer driviing it with my 57.
