4 piston 2 cylinder opposed engine
Saw this on another site. Apparently the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) is interested in the concept.
It's in 2 parts seperated by a short commercial.
This is a pretty interesting concept.

Update of a 4 stroke opposed piston aircraft engine designed in 1945. Prototype can be seen at the aircraft museum in Dayton, Ohio. End of war stopped development. Proto had 300 ci and developed 400 hp at 3200 rpm and weighed about half of a conventional engine as I remember. used swashplates instead of a crank. Nothin new under the sun.theres no foo like an old foo
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
