I know they had superchargers on WW2 planes, but my question was for the source on the popular 6-71 blower.

I know they had superchargers on WW2 planes, and I think they were also used on some European race cars....maybe as early as the thirties....but my question was for the source on the popular 6-71 blower.

the 671 gmc blower came from inline 6cyl 71 cubic inch per cyl gmc later to become detroit deisel trucks hot roders and racers adapted them to gas eng in the 50s ted
