Wow, NONE of US EVER do stuff like that!!!
Ok, I'm lying, it happens to us all the time. 
Let's face it, few of us are Engineers with computer programs to map this stuff out before we weld in in place, so occasionally you have a little ooooops to fix. It seems to really crop up the lower we make our cars. If they were 18 inches off the ground there would be lots of room for components like steering tie rods, and oil pans.
