    2 quick steering

I have a 45 ford truck with a volare front end boxed in.also using a chevy powersteering pump to feed the system.the steering is very quick (almost too fast) does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this problem.I have driven the truck quit a bit and would like to tame the problem.

Rick, if it is too much line pressure causing the problem, they sell an adjustable valve that will allow you to reduce the pressure. I know it is used with Mustang II front ends, but not sure about the Volare. You might check with Heidts Hot Rod shop. Here is a picture of it.

It might also need a longer pitman arm, but if it worked in the original car, I suspect the Chevy pump makes too much pressure.
