Help 55 Chev ID?
Help someone please tell me the difference between a 210 and a Bel-Air.
Need to order a headliner for all I know as a 55 post car.
Thanks in advance.

The 210 was the mid level car between the 150 and the Bel Air. There are a lot of differences, many subltle, so just some highlights. Bel Airs had more exterior trim, stainless spear on the front fender that continued to the door, 210's didn't have those. The Bel Air also had more trim around the side windows. The 210 interior had a waffle pattern on the seat covers, the Bel Air had a cloth insert, vinyl surround. The 210 had a cloth headliner, the Bel Air could have either cloth or vinyl. From a fit standpoint, the headliners are the same, just the material could vary depending on the options chosen.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Bob, you pretty much hit on all of the differences, the door panel armrest is built into the bel air where the 210 has a hand opening pull, that is a dead giveaway When someone is trying to pass a 210 as a bel air. The speaker has bel air where the 210 is blank, I’ve owned a lot of 55 Chevy's and there are probably more differences then I could think of. I just sold a bel air and I have a 210 in the garage. The side trim is the most visible.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
