once it warmed up it would do it.. we never did fix it because the repair cost was not worth it. car had 170k on it. my mom learned to drive it so it did not do it, and drove it that way for another 10k until it needed to much and we parked it...... Another thing we learned you don't do with those cars is hook the battery up backwards.. my brother accidently did ( after we retired it ) and it fried everything
