    American Hotrod

I was waiting for a thread to open on the show that aired last night( at least it did here in canada), i thought someone would write about it, but looks like i'll start it
Apparently it was the first episode with Boyd Coddington and his rod shop building the boydster 2. I've seen the car before but never realized that it was fiberglass. Very disappointed that it was'nt steel and it did'nt seem to me that Boyd had much to do with it. He had the body made by another company in Austrailia, he came in and did the Paul Tutel yelling routine milled around and shuffled around on his scooter. It seemed he just ordered a car and his team assembled it. Nice shop, but the guys he has working for him seem to be a pack of dim bulbs, unlike the "rides" show with foose. It looked like he had some nice projects in the background. I thought the show was going to be more like american chopper were it takes two episodes to see the results. Maybe they cut alot out but i would have liked to see a little more detail in the show. Being that Boyd is suppose to be one of the best builders around he sure did'nt show it on this show. The car just did'nt seem to be anything spectacular, especially for a leadoff of the series. The finished product was still a nice ride mind you, but it's nothing that 100 other rod shops could have done. I see Tripanier is schdualed for the next show, i hope it gets better

I saw the show a while back it aired in the states, I thought it was short lived that was actually the second show of three I saw I thought it was off the air. After seeing them boyd seems like a stroke and the guy that was orginally a recieving clerk whos now the lead builder is a genius. I think the cad design machinist they have is also a dumb ass too, but it was funny that boyd caught him trying to jump that speedway pedal car with his roller shoes. I am not sure I would probly still watch the show for the comedy.
