    Mine is on the inside of the frame, right next to the driveshaft, and its a 53. I got the same frame as you, but i see in the pic where the gastank straps are on yours. Kinda weird how they changed on the panel trucks.

    I didn't know the panels were that way. Thats interesting. However, if you ever want to beef up your frame you could switch to a 54-55 tank
