The mags, discs, and tunnel ram sort of put it into the '60's. Like I said, that leaves the door wide open for colors.

Black??? Don't people every get tired of plain old black for frames??? IMO black loses a lot of definition compared to lighter colors. It does make chrome and aluminum stand out, but for me that's a bit too much of a trade off... Why not do the frame itself in body color, then the suspension pieces in black if you have to have some black on the car. Guess I'm just tired of black as THE color on hot rods......

Here are some pictures of similarly styled T's in all colors. (there is even a purple one in there ) No matter what color, they all look good. I'm also starting to like them unchopped for a change.

Yeah, after reading this thread, I am leaning towards painting the whole car a color. I kinda like Daves idea of painting the frame to match the body, but since I really havent decided on a color yet its proly gonna hafta be a black frame....But ya know, the C5 Corvette has a color called Millenium Yellow that I have always loved!!!!!....Hmmm....

Ok...hows this sound, ya'll have convinced me to paint the body a color other than satin black.....one of my favorite colors is Millenium Yellow (corvette color). I like daves idea of color matching the frame with the body. But I want to drive the car hopefully this summer...So.....Im going to paint the frame Corvette M.Y. and just run with the body in all its current rusty glory. Then next season, after I chop it and fix the bullet holes, Ill paint the body to match. I can always repaint the engine if its all too much yellow....

Now I just gotta decide what colorto paint the suspension components.... (proly black)

    Ya gotta love this place!!!

You can't go wrong with black suspension IMO. I like the idea of getting the frame painted yellow now and doing the body after you have some fun with it.

Thanks, I'm more of a fan of the first generation Stingrays, but I have to admit these Z06 cars are a blast. I got to drive it one night when he went to pick up his other car and it plants you in the seat with little effort.

I don't think he is a member, forums are kind of foreign to him I think. But my Ex-Boss Jason is I bet. He has a black Z06 and is a fanatic about it. Car lives on carpeting and is pretty tricked out. One Sunday we went to breakfast in it and cruised at 130 all the way. Felt like 80 though.
