All these company's offer High Performance stuff for all the Ford OD's, advise on how to make them strong, info on there weak points and lot's of good general info. In reply to shawnlee28 sugesstion on swapping in a Chevy 700-R4 I contacted CoanRacing.com and they indeed make an adaptor to mate the chevy trans to the ford but is not practical to do into a stock ford truck or car, the only guy's doing this swap are the early Hot Rod Guy's. With a new modified trans,convertor,computor (if you need one) and all the misc. stuff your looking at about $4,000.00 min. You could cut costs searching the bone yards and rebuilding the trans your self doing the necessary mods to make them reliable but hey! it's just money!
