Thanks for the help guys...I am getting smarter.

Orig. idea was get a 'kit' type deal to get on the road quick. However, I gotta be low and gettin' there would negate alot of the stuff I would pay for in a complete chasis.
Dad and I can fabricate most anything, so I think I will start with a bare bones frame and build it form there. Still gonna be done alot quicker than my 50 coupe!

Special thanx to itoldyouso...Glad you stayed at the Microtel at Billetproof. The orig. inspiration happend right there!

You are welcome. We almost didn't get to stay at the Microtel, we had confirmed reservations but when we got in they had overbooked and we had to take the last room available.......a SMOKING room! And when I say it was a smoking room, I mean it.........everything reeked of smoke.

If there is anything I can answer along the way in your build, just let me know. It's good that you and your Pop can do this kind of stuff, makes it more fun too. If I can offer one word of advice, use 2 x 3 x 3/16 wall tubing. It has a nicer profile than 1/8 thick stock and the additional thickness is nice for drilling and tapping for non structural items like line clamps. I'm anxious to see yours come together, if you need any measurements just yell.
