This looks like a fun build. I have to say cutting stuff up does feel pretty good! I had to cut the shorty mufflers off the stock exhaust manifolds today! They were in a horrible place making it impossible to get to the tranny and exhausting thru the floor boards in the cab!
Keep posting shots.

Maybe those exhaust pipes were there to give you some heat in the winter Steve.
It's fun working upside down in cramped places, isn't it?
I MIGHT be taking my '27 in a slightly different direction powerwise. I just bought some parts off of a '46 Ford from a member on another forum. He is updating his car with a Chevy engine and some trick suspension stuff, and didn't need all the running gear, including the flathead engine. I have to drive up to Atlanta to pick the stuff up, but it's only about 10 hours each way.
He says the engine ran, so I might consider rebuilding it and putting it in the '27. Either that, or using all of the parts I got from him to build another car entirely. We have some 2 x 3 box tubing left over and I am getting the banjo rear, torque tube, engine and transmission, 4 inch dropped axle, and Posies spring, so I would have a good start on a basic hot rod. It might even be the NEW Project $ 3K !
All I would have to do is find a cheap body somewhere. I have always had a hankering for a T coupe, chopped of course, so that might be something to consider.
Let's see, I still have a '56 Ford truck steering box sitting around, some funky headlights, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............
This is like Deja Vu all over again.

No, she left me 10 years ago.
Yep Steve, I think he is trying to build up his inheritance in old parts.
