The 56 wagon is gone, we don't have a house in that neighborhood anymore, and as mentioned, many of those respondents are down the road. Just to put that original post in perspective somewhat, this site was less than a year old at the time. Back then, a few of us originals posted up whatever we could that seemed germane to stimulate participation.

There were some pictures attached of some of the vehicles, but past server dumps killed those. However, it is still an interesting topic, at least to me. These old cars pop up in some of the darndest places.
Interesting thread,Bob..We are not that lucky,to have all that kool stuff in our neighborhood, but we still see a lot of it cruising the streets..Theres a guy in Vegas, that we know, who has a few interesting cars too,ay Bob...

Your threads are like fine wine, Bob.............they just keep getting better with age. I'm waiting for that one you posted during the first World War to show up again.

For us grey backs 9 years ago doesn't seem so long ago. Besides, I like to see old threads revived, oh yea, we old timers like to reminisce too. There must be some new "just found" stories.

How timely for this topic to come up! And, YES! 9 years ago seems like yesterday too!!! This week I'm working in California, Pleasant Hills to be exact. And another co-worker took me over to his uncles place to inspect his 1967 Sunbeam Tiger! Sweet little car. Unrestored, barn fresh as they say. He's owned it since 1971 and he parked it in 1980 and let it sit there until last year when he got the urge to take it for a ride. When we were getting ready to leave, he offered to sell it to me for 20K ... I told him when he got serious to call me!
