Ive now got most of the frame cleaned up and primered, i used the angle grinder with a wire wheel, and it seems to be working pretty good. Im still having problems getting in some tight spots, but overall, i think its alright.After getting some primer on it, now im wondering to what level i should go with the final finish? Its got some deep pitting in spots that are kinda bugging me, but do i really want to make it show car quality? If i let myself go , i will spend the next six months getting the frame perfect! I know its all up to me, but i dont like feeling like ive comprimised on quality, i really want to do a top notch job on this build!! I know it will never be seen, but it will still bug me.
Does anyone know what era rims these are? I would not mind cleaning these up and running them again, but if i use them i need to try and keep up the theme on the rest of the build. I figure they are late 70`s, or bad 80`s.

John, that looks great, I would spray it chassis black and call it a day. I understand the quest to get every little spot perfect, but at some point you have to decide you want to drive the car someday and not just spend all your time working on it.
Jimmy Shine made a very valid point when he told Littleman he had to decide what parts to make a 10, and what parts to make a 2. Whenever Dan gets to fussing over some little spot not being perfect on his car I drag him over to my T and ask him how much we notice the little flaws we left in it. The answer is none. It's a driver quality car, and that is what I want it to be. I want to use and abuse it.

Wheels look like some Cragar SS knockoff to me.
Mine were Uni- Lug, but they were American knock offs.
Frame looks really nice!!! I have a small spot blaster I use on the nooks and crannies that grinding can't get at..
those wheels are old school cragar SS wheels 60's 70's 80's and they still sell them in summit catalogs there suppose to be crome instead of painted.
Yeah the crome is still under the paint in spots. So if i kept the rims, then i could do a 60`s style custom? Or i could still do my 70`s van style, like i wanted.Quote:

I know what you mean Dave, im trying real hard not to do anything drastic!! Ive allready been thinking of a 2-3" chop, and decrowning the roof. Then the other day while staring at the frame ,i started thinking about my own gravedigger!! A little lift and some 44`s.
Well i took daves advice, and started putting some gussets on the frame. Just the two i got done tonight shows a huge improvment in the frame twist.
