Here is a close up if you can see it of the proposed changes I want to make.

If it is really this simple, everyone should do it. It would make sense why GM did it.

It was really quite easy. Thanks for all of the help. The wire that I thought was yellow was really white. Most of the wrapped wiring was still in the factory cover and the wires looked great.

Here is a pic. I have since rewired the blue wire into the boot of the red wire. I wanted so bad to test so I threw a piece of electrical tape over it and tested it.

P.S. I have a "tall" (original style) external regulator and the factory plug with about 12" lead if anyone would like it. ( you pay shipping )
