IC2---Taken as individuals, most of the Frenchies I've dealt with are pretty straight up good guys. Politics is a nasty damn thing, and yes, there are some unresolveable issues in a country that has two official languages.

At least Canada has official languages - we in the US sure don't - and it is Constitutionally omitted. Dammit !!

And I did qualify my statement by saying SOME of the French ONLY speakers. Good ol Gen. DeGaulle sure didn't help political matters in '68/'69 or thereabouts which is the same time period I was dating a very nice lady from Montreal - lotta miles back and forth - about wore out my Gran Prix.
