Do the Edelbrock heads match those tall ports on the earlier manifold?
I was trying to remember. I think the 66 and up had a more rect. port. I
had some 66 GT heads port matched to a medium riser tunnel wedge man.
years ago. You may want to ask Edelbrock. I think they're medium riser
style. Dave or Denny should know.
    good luck, Ron
    btw...nice car

Your right Ron. The Edel head intake ports are 2.06 x 1.38 MR size. The 2x4 LR intake ports are 2.34 x 1.34. So there will be a slight port mismatch and a lip. If your going to keep the bottom end stock I'd not worry about the girdle either. Use the money elsewhere. If you want a torque monster get a 428 crank or even better Scat 4.125 or 4.250 stroker kit somewhere down the line.

    That's a great looking car.
