Tucson isn't a bad place. Beatiful scenery and killer sunsets, no sunamis, no volcanoes, no earthquakes, floods are rare (they call them 100 year floods), no hurricanes, tornadoes never seem to get to the ground (I grew up in the Midwest), no blizzards, if it snows, it usually melts instantly, hail seems to be limited to about 1/2 inch, no grass to mow (unless you plant it), the mosquitoes never get as big as small birds, and most importantly.......no heavy rust on cars!

On the flip side, you have to spend more on sunglasses and lotion, some of our "rivers" usually have no water in them, and we have an invasion of older drivers when the weather gets cold back east! We call them "snowbirds". All in all, a good trade for the negative stuff. :-)
