We go to the Ducktail every year with an occasional visit down to the James Dean Run. Like you I enjoy the variety and layout of the Gas City park a little better........ but there is some nice stuff to see at James Dean.

I really liked it when the Rebel Run was also that same time and we'd toggle between the three, although the last couple of years the Rebel Run was in Indiana it kinda went downhill fast after they lost the original location. Now they hold that show a week earlier up in Lima, OH..... and my buddies up there really like the show and location.

I have heard from everyone I've asked that Ducktail is by far better. Matter, of fact, we just drove through the park today to check it out (we are about 25 min. away). I've only been to James Dean though so I dont know first hand. Unfortunately it falls on an extremely busy weekend for me so theres about a 99% chance I wont be able to cruise on over and check it out.

Personally I think ducktail is better because of the variety of cars. At James Dean you see alot of the same cars and after seing ten you've pretty much seen them all. I also like all the rat rods at ducktail.

Anyone going to James Dean this year? If so, look up my buddy. He is the T-shirt car this year. A Lime Green 49 Merc. I guess will be in a special parking place. He is my age (63), long gray hair, and tall. His name is Jimmy. Super nice guy, speak to him, call him by name, it will blow his mind. Later you can tell him Jackie sent you. That would be way cool. Thanks,

It is in Fairmount, Indiana this coming Friday through Sunday (Sept. 28 - 30). Fairmount is north of Muncie off of I-69. The Ducktail is just a few miles farther up the interstate in Gas City, but it actually starts a day earlier (Thursday).

moparjack44, when we head down to James Dean I'll look for your buddy.

Thanks John. They are leaving today. I guess he will be in a special spot since his is the T-shirt car.
