I know you don't have to have them on choppers but can you do without on a bucket?

I would love to run with only a fuel and temp gauge. I know what you are thinking but I really like the minimalist look.

I haven't found a ford six yet. What would be a good 4cyl and trany combo ( pref. a man.) that would work. I would like a plug and play engine trany combo that i could pull out of a car and put in.
