Speedo Reqd?/ 4 cyl Boval?

I know you don't have to have them on choppers but can you do without on a bucket?

I would love to run with only a fuel and temp gauge. I know what you are thinking but I really like the minimalist look.

I haven't found a ford six yet. :( What would be a good 4cyl and trany combo ( pref. a man.) that would work. :confused: I would like a plug and play engine trany combo that i could pull out of a car and put in.

Better check with the state guys.... Around here it don't matter, as long as you pay your speeding tickets in a timely fashion!!!!

As for a good 4 popper, how about a 4 cyl and 5 speed out of a Ranger pickup???? I had a '99 for a shop truck for awhile, ran good and great fuel mileage... My favorite 4 popper of all time was the old Pontiac "Iron Duke". Might be tough to find one that was in drop in and go condition, but the do run strong. They were the basis for many midget race cars a number of years back... If you could find the right guys, probably some first class high performance parts laying around someplace for them.....

1975-1983 Ford Granada, Merc Zephyr, Ford Fairmonts were all common with 200 and 250 I6's. 250's use SBF bellhousing patterns, 200's up to '79 are diffrent. '80-'83 EO blocks are big bell, 2/3's of a SBF bell pattern. I see a lot in the yards. lots of torque, headders, 2bbl carb. they'll push a bucket nicely. turbocharge if you want extra power
