Jeez, I go to car shows all the time here, and its FUN!!!! Sure, people ask the kinda dumb questions that civilians ask, but they are there because they like hotrods and customs. 99 percent of people do respect the cars, and do control there kids and I constantly hear "Now don't touch the cars, Billy, and do NOT even think about standing on the running boards!!!" People like to talk to the car owners, and ask---"Did you RESTORE this yourself??----Are you allowed to drive this on the street???----How fast will it really go???----how many horsepower is that engine???----How come you didn't put those side thingies on your hood that cover up the engine???----and those are questions that you expect to be asked. But why on earth would you want to "piss people off". People come to car shows and cruise nights to be entertained and see something they are interested in, and like.----Not to be pissed off, intimidated, or insulted by ill mannered louts!!!Old guy hot rodder

I go to alot of cruise ins and car shows here and we have a really good time , never have kids crawling on the car and really never had anyone give me an atitude .
Just like Brian said the kids are watched by there parents and never touch any of the cars (cause if they did I'd kill them)
Just kidding.

I really like watching the kids faces when they look at the cars , it reminds me of when I was a kid .

Speaking of car shows...we're heading out in the morning to a good sized local show put on by a VFW post. This one is a good fun time, no rules just what the judges like. Mostly just a get together with fellow gearheads to BS about our passion...
Last year I won the "Most Likely to be Pulled Over" award... good times......

How do you do it jeff? I cant say i have ran into to many problems at shows, most people are cool, sometimes you get some annoying people, but i try to be nice, cause some are just curious, i dont want to turn them off from hotrodding. Most of the guys that really dont like my car just kinda stay away.I have not had any rude comments made to my face yet.

I love the "Good Guys" show out here in Phoenix...Great time! I've never seen a problem with kids or rude people. I first took my grandson 2 years ago when he was 5 and he thought it was the best thing he had ever seen. He knows to put his hands behind him when we approach a car. A guy even told him he could touch his max wedge Polara. Gotta bring the rug rats so they can see these awesome works of art. Magazines just don't impact kids like a show. Just gotta watch the little boogers!

i am going to attend a crusie in soon. first time that i have entered my car in anything. i know that is probably will not win anything. but i do not care. my monte is far from perfect but IT IS MINE. I can bet that there is no other monte out there that looks like it. I did all of the work myself. by hand. I am on a tight budget and it is not perfect but i love it. I wanted it to look beasty and that is exactly how it looks. I know that I am going to get bad comments about it. but so what. It still puts a big grin on my face every time that I start it and feel it come to life. There are alot better montes out there and i am sure that they will be there. But at least being the only local woman that can honestly say that she did Everything from the tranny to the tune up to the body work makes me proud. To H!!! with the rest.BARB
LET THE FUN BEGIN
