I just bought a 67 Fairlane 427 XL and I hope someone can answer a question for me. There are some holes drilled in the shock towers and I'm wondering if they are factory. There are three drilled on the passengers side and two on the drivers side and they are about an inch in diameter. They aren't near the area where trusty mechanics used to blow them out with their torches to grease the upper control arms. They are located on the face of the towers near where possibly the exhaust manifold bolts would be located. The engine is out now so I'm not sure. I know there are some knowledgable people on here so any help would be great. Thanks guys!
