We just did a LS1 Jeep that we thought the same thing. We trailered the frame to the muffler shop and they put it on the rack and acted like a body was there!!! The guy said that the body being there lets him check the pipe clearance to the body, especially at places like the kick over the axle. Next time, we put the body on.
