5.0 short water pump find
Been looking online to find a cheap version of the Ford short water pump . Found out the 94-95 Mustang and 88-92 cougar t-bird have a short water pump serpentine system on the 5.0 . This combo will knock off 1 3/4 inch in length of the 5.0 engine matching the stock sbc 350 at 27 inches. Most i found online where well over the $250 range for a pump and 2 pulleys . I picked this up for $75 , 30 minutes from my house off a craigs list add i put in last night looking for one . .
The pics make pump look alot shorter but it is 1 3/4 shorter easily and may be just a bit more . The pulley sets aren't to bad dont mind ordering them
Well the Ford theme got bent a little tonight also at the local U Pull It i found a 82 Chevy column with tilt and cruise option . Even one better it had the keys hanging in it . I see a little mod in shortening it but it"s going to work . But the search will go on for a ford column .
