Now I've had my uncle's hotrod project truck here 2 weeks, and after taking a bunch of time off (damn shops never keep the hours that are convenient) we've got a laundry list of what needs to be done. Hopefully he'll be back in the next couple of months to help out.

This is the 51' Ford F1 with 429, Ford 9" rear end (still waiting on all receipts to know everything done).

Right now:

1. Order wheels and tires. He decided on Budnik Fontana's, 15x10 rear 15x6 front (supposed to be about 6 weeks to get these once ordered)

2. Have rear end housing cut and new axles installed

3. I ordered power brake kit from local custom shop (already has front disc brakes but setup with the original straight axles)

4. tear out all wood from bed and install diamond plate (I think a new wood kit would look great, BUT it's his truck and money). already started on this but am going to get an air ratched before finishing.

5. Build Mini-tubs for tire and wheel accomodation

6. Pull bumber and all trim pieces and have rechromed

7. begin body work (where!? )

8. dress up engine, new valve covers, breather, PVC, etc.

9. remove gas tank behind seat and install one in truck bed

10. mount battery underneath, somewhere

Well, what do you think about that?! Long enough list? Think I'll be busy. My brother and I rearranged my shop today moving the welders, horizontal bandsaw and air compressor to make about 2' more on one side to be able to work.
