    Speedway Track T

Has anyone here built the Speedway Track-T? It would be my first kit car build. I have worked on cars(my own), but never built one. I like the looks of that car and am intrigued by the V6 powerplant. I just ordered the instruction manual which hopefully, will be here this week.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

While I haven't seen Speedway's kit, I have seen Total Performance' version at their booth in Daytona, last November. I imagine the two are pretty similar.

Total's looked pretty good, actually, and althought the price seems initially higher, it appears you get some expensive additions, like suspension, steering, etc. You would have to sit down with a calculator and see how the two compare.

Not trying to promote TP, but I see you are in Florida, like me, and TP has two locations here now, which MAY save you freight. I don't know what their policy is on that, but Mickey has delivered a body and parts to me at no charge at shows.

In any event, either one would make a cool little rod, and a great way to get on the road. J Robinson is doing a thread on a track T now, which should give you a wealth of info too.

Having built a TP bucket can attest to the fact that they are exactly as they say that they are. I looked at the Speedway version but felt that they didn't have the "stance" that the TP has plus Wallingford, CT is only a 2-3 hour ride for me. This was my car so you can see what they look like finished.

I have sent Total Performance several emails asking questions about their Track-T and even posted questions on their bulletin board. I have not received any responses to either. So I will go with the Speedway kit.
