Hi Randy,
Stay Calm, it just may be a function of hibernation for some of us. I am trying to save expenses until I can work again this summer and afford some naugahyde interior so I am just painting the Luan interior panels with Behr housepaint. The local Home Depot matched good paint to some scraps of my body pieces cut out of the trans tunnel. It looked like a disaster at first because the paint looks pink when wet but after it dries it is a sort of dark plum color and while it is not a perfect match to the exterior color it looks better than bare wood. This kind of expensive Behr exterior paint will dry down to 30 degrees F which tells you something about the interior of my garage this month! Anything above 40 degrees F is positively warm and the panels I painted yesterday were dried hard this morning after some 60 degrees F yesterday afternoon followed by a cold night. The good thing about this approach is that it looks better than bare wood for now and the same panels can be covered by naugahyde when I can afford that.

How about using this slow time when the shop is cold for a test, Don? Randy gave you excellent step by step instructions on how to start a new thread, and we have an equally informative instruction on how to post pictures - http://www.clubhotrod.com/hot-rod-lo...tml?highlight=
Maybe this would be a good time for you to start a new thread about your painted interior panels, and once the new thread is established, then you can post pictures and you'll have the whole package. Imagine, no more tagging on to existing threads, freedom to post anything, any time. You might become a thread monster!!

Gee you guys are desperate to see some meager half-baked interior pictures. Let me wait until tomorrow since I had to add some touchup second coat in places today and it needs to dry. Then I can remount the radio speakers and put the kick panels back in. Today I sort of gave up on the high quality idea for now and just put some simple vinyl covering on two panels at the elbow height of the front seat. Two days ago I also gave up and covered the rumble seat board with just a layer of vinyl. True it looks better than bare wood but it is clearly half-baked. You will probably be sorry you asked for the pics. I will probably have to keep this half-baked solution for a while, BUT I did buy and indian blanket so maybe that will cover a lot of trash? Realistically I need to find one of those strips that will accept staples in the middle and then cover them up with an insert strip but it needs to be about 1 1/2" wide to trim the back edge of the doors. Where can I get such a strip and in that width?
