Thank you Charlie & Bobby. I finally reached a point where I couldn't even sit up! My body was stuck in one position and to move was terror and agony! I felt like enough was enough and a local neurosurgeon was kind enough to squeeze me into his schedule because it's gotten that bad!
I actually can't wait to be pain free again!I cannot wait for friday!

I usually check this thread every so often because I like old Fords even though I am working very slowly on a plastic SBC Model A. I like to see what IC2 is up to but I don't really know the rest of the folks here. I am only writing now because Brent sends me some strange page every so often sort of offering me a chance to unsubscribe. I am doing OK at the moment but last year I had a long, long bout with a cold that would just not go away during most of February. My second book is finished now so I should get back to the car project but I am trying to get through the winter without doing that fever routine again. Sometimes ideas come slowly but now my goal is to hook up the battery with jumper cables for a possible quick disconnect, turn on the key (not the starter) and test the wiper, lights, turn signals and radio one by one. That way I can trouble-shoot the tangle of wires under my dash. We still have some days here in the 50-60 degree range so I can fool around when the weather is mild. I considered insulating the whole garage so I could heat it but it is so tight in there that it would be a major clean out just to clear the walls for insulation and paneling plus the expense of the materials. Maybe if/when I finish the car I can insulate the garage but then why would I need the insulation? It is the Chicken/Egg problem all over again. Anyway the only thing I am trying to do here is satisfy Brent that I still read the Forum even if I do not post often and to ask IC2 if he did move to Virginia? I still look at this thread and wish I could find a '37 Ford somewhere. I can't believe I let my wife talk/coerce me into selling my '40 convert project. if I had held it until I retired I would have had enough funds to complete it but as it was we were still in the era of kids braces and college expenses so I let the whole thing go as a rolling project for $800. Hind-sight is 20/20!

We'll forgive you on bailing Randy, but did you at least get something done in your dry garage?? I meant passenger side for the battery. it was easy with my starter on that side and it shifts some weight to that side..not critical, but I guess every bit helps!
Good luck! I hope you're feelin' great in no time
Nice to hear from you Don! I think we all get those emails from Brent. the unsubscribe option is just for getting those emails. Don't worry, he's not asking you to post or get out haha. Take it easy while it's cold, but come spring I'll be expecting some good updates! My project is dragging on to the point I hope to drive it ready or not. It's so close and if not for the law I'd be sneaking in a shake down run or two through the neighborhood, but as it is I've only been up the driveway and around the courtLast edited by 35fordcoupe; 01-23-2012 at 06:08 AM.
