You are correct, but almost all the other products claim the foil surface is for thermal control. I think "they" try to get you to buy into "the package" as it were. I'm sure adding another layer would add insulation value, but how much is enough?? Only you can decide that. Just the short "rides" I've taken already, this coupe will be far cooler than my 67 Fastback Mustang EVER WAS!

I simply measured the floor pan and multiplied by 3. Worked out almost perfect, almost a 1/2 sheet left over. And I did inside the doors, up the firewall, everywhere inside!
