Actually, buying is not the correct term, horsetrading/swapping would be more accurate. As for condition, the builder put it together quite a while ago, it has had very little runtime and it has been sitting for a while. Thus the rust and dust. Toby says it starts, runs, sounds very strong. Bob gave a very good hint. The Vintage is '52-'59. Streets was close but not exactly right on the huffer.
It is a GMC 302 cubic inch 6 cylinder, bored .060. Makes it about 310 cu in. The blower is a 3-71. He is supposed to pick it up next week, I'll be interested to see what he does with it.
This is definitely not your "bolt pieces together" hot rod!
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
