Yes, you weren't the first to ID it as a 702, but you were the first on here with the doodlebug idea. It would make a heck of a doodlebug. But ours is being turned into a sleeper road tractor. The site about them is linked to on the previous page. What they did was have two 351 blocks sit end to end, then made a single casting from that. I think it is one long crank, but the thing does have four heads, two carbs, two intakes. It's a real bit** to tune, time, etc, and requires hellatious batteries to crank.Originally posted by inlineidiot
The engine in the GMC is a 702 CID V12...It was two 351s mated end to end..At first I thought they must have had a torque converter between the two cranks to take up the difference in balance...But it appears the block was one big casting with one single crankshaft...But I could be wrong..I have always wanted one to make a Doodlebug....(homemade tractor)......Man !!! what a stump puller it would be....Al..
