I think chambered exhaust sounds a lot better than a glass pack. They can be loud, but in a good way. I have them on my '40 and absolutely love them. A buddy had them on his '57 Nomad and while they sounded great, they were pretty loud and he finally swapped them out. It seems like a lot of the sound will be determined by the engine and size/length/run of the exhaust.

That sucker had a drone at certain speeds that would drive you nuts. He tried several different set-ups and finally found the right combo with the chambered and slightly smaller pipes. The difference was incredible, even in the power the car gained with the chambered.John
