    DOA

There are several songs that have an uncanny ability to make me go fast, but one beats the rest. Nothing like driving down a mountain road at night, no street lights anywhere with it blaring. It's DOA by Bloodrock. Just the song to have playing if you are going to get in a wreck and die on the way to the hospital.

I used google.com and "Hot Rod Lincoln. The Song/A Short History "....Not what I call a short history but very interesting..I remember Commander Cody's 1972 version but it wasn't as cool as the original I remember from the late fifties......Al...

    Hey Tree

I think it was Charly Ryan who did the first one way back in the mid 50's. Check out this site "Hot Rod Lincoln - The Car behind The Song": http://www.lincoln-club.org/hot-rod-lincoln1.html

Wow! Those are some great tunes!! I kinda like whatever offerings that are available from AC/DC...gotta throw a bid for Van Halen..a little Eruption, Really Got Me and Ain't Talking 'bout Love.

For whatever reason, the right foot gets heavy to the Greg Kin Band..Twillight Zone...don't ask me why. Big fan of ZZ Top's I Got the Six... Guess Who - American Woman...Def Leppard - Rock of Ages...80's flash back!!

Another one that always seems to get me to going fast is Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. And some of Soundgarden's stuff really works. Bout anything that refers to dying works for me. This is probably a little out of keeping with the rest of you, but when a (c)rap song comes on the local mix station, I just get this p*ssed off feeling and end up doing 50 in a 25. And one that seems to have been working VERY well lately is Crystal Village by Pete Yorn. Guess I'm kind of messed up , but at if you get it turned up loud, the bass drowns out the engine and kind of sheds any inhibitions I might have had about blowing the dang thing. Makes for a FAST takeoff from stops and great for racing in parking lots at night.

My songs depend on my mood. Megadeth-High speed dirt usually gets my foot closer to the headers(its not a car song, but it works). Judas Priest-Painkiller was one of my favorites but that was for a specific road. Of course for me the best sound while I'm driving is the sound of the engine itself.

Ohh man I know.. Fuel is my favorite song by them. I can't figure out how to play that one for the life of me! I can do Fade to Black though. I tend to go faster while listening to Slipknot too.. THAT'S my guilty pleasure

    I think I'm in L-U-V

I like all kinds of music but for drivin purposes it HAS to be hard and fast.

Unless I'm drivin the 1 ton FB truck on a hay run.

Then well I have a redneck streak to freak.
