Seems I recall years ago reading in one of the car magazines about using ladder bars on street cars. As I recall, they used just a couple of U bolts and plates to attach the bars to the axels. The boltsd were not not tight, and allowed the axel to pivot in the ladder bar. This allowed for more movement in the rear axel prior to it binding up (which it would still do). THE BARS WERE FOR LOOKS ONLY as in this configuration they did not prevent spring wrap or wheel hop. This was also at the time when spoilers, fake snorkel hood scoops, 3 ft long shackels, gutted blower cases hiding a carburator, and adaptors to put big block valve covers on small blocks were popular.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
