I have to laugh at this...... I'm 24 now but I remember only a few years ago My '67 Ranchero had to be ear blistering loud as well. What the hell is the cause of this imbalance in a teenager's head? Nowadays I prefer a nice mellow but not at all quite rumble with a good strong loud sound when you dump open the secondaries.

The flomasters sound like fireworks going off in a coffee can. I just can stand that patented 5.oL sound in a muscle car. THe best muffler I've found to sound deep like a REAL musclecar is the Dynomax Super turbo or the Flow tech Raptor (i think that's the name) I have the Superturbos on both my 78 Fastback and the 74 Duster with 2.5" pipe. I can drownd out a cheeseball glasspack car with my mustang 1/4 of a mile away from where you're standing.

But if LOUD is what you want, put on 2.5" exh and get a pair of 14" Thrush Cherry Bomb glasspacks. I garuntee in about a week all the packing will be burned out and you'll have LOUD.
