    36 ford 3 window chop

I'm working on a 36 ford 3 window coupe and I'm looking for information on chopping the to 2 inches or so. I've never done one before and would like to research a bit before doing this. Any good books or videos out their? Or any advise from those of you who have done this would be appreciated.

check out this month streetrodder magazine there is a article on chopping . and there is a 36 3window on the cover .
you had better be good at metal work to make this chop . the roof on a 36 is not a easy one to do . the roof slopes in all directions . and you will have to split this roof in atleast 4 parts to make it fit .
    good luck .
yes i drove ,the trailer didnot drive it's self

Although I personally consider it a crime to chop ANY top . . .

Like someone mentioned there was a street rodder magazine article they did were they chopped a 36 3window just recently.

36 looks like it would be hard because of all the lines and compound curves.

Im working on a 33 ford 3w and right now just the body is on the chasis and it makes the window look really big i think, but when you get fenders and everything else on the car you dont seem to notice the window hieght looking so tall. Im not chopping my car.
