Either way you go, it will still be a kickass car. I never see many of those fixed up, there's a bit of them but the ones I do ever see driven around or anything aren't fixed up nice or anything so even if you do the pink it will still be sweet. In my own oppinion I don't care for the pink, it just doesn't blend I don't think. Maybe pink and white would be a tad better but who know's, it's your car anyways so you will do what you like best of course.www.streamlineautocare.com

there was a guy I met near our house in Savannah NY that had a lawnsale/ garage sale at his shop, what cought our eye to stop was a hunter green 1930 Model A 5 window coupe, compleatly restored, had a rumble seat also, it was excelent, he only wanted 13.5K for it. I got talking to him and he asked if I wanted to see his ride, I said yes, of course, We walked through his wifes fabric shop and into his back shop, in there was a pink and white 1959 Ford Fairlaine 500 2dr Hard top, it was supurb quality. He also had a 1929 Model A pickup that was in an unrestored/ unmolested origional that still was on the road with good interior and good origional paint. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I wonder how much that 29 Model A Pickup is worth there Matt, did you ask him? The other day I was driving out in the middle of nowhere and in the back of this field is a little house with a small car port and under it is a 30's Model A Sedan type car. I am not sure what it is exactly because the house sits away from the road quite a bit. Looks pretty nice, it has the spoked spare in the back, all original looking from the looks of it, etc.
Sorry to switch the subject, but I thought I would add a bit in there to what Matt had kind of.www.streamlineautocare.com

I think he said he paid 10k for it but, he knew the guy so it was probably worth a little more. I'd say it was worth probably close to 12-13 maby because there was no rust as it had always been garaged and there were only 2 chips in the paint. He said he was the true second owner of the car.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

WOW!!! That Galaxie is the pure hottness. I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread. I have a 59 Fairlane Galaxie that I have some plans for too. I have had it for a few months so far. And speaking of pink and white 59 Fairlanes, I have one in my garage. Unrestored of course. I'd love to talk cars with you sometime Doll. I was going to paint mine pearl white, lower it, put some more modern and larger rims on it (not too big) , some airbags etc. I just got some NOS skirts for it because I thought it would make it look lower.

Yeah, mine is lowered. It is kind of a pain with the leg pipes because it scrapes around bumpy corners...but its worth it to look so badass! I want skirts for it as well, and will probably get them after I paint it. Same with the airbags. I may just end up doing hydraulics though- they are cheaper and easier.Originally posted by Fabio421

Nice 59, I think treekiller's color choice would set it off a lot more.(IMHO) I painted the flames on my wives PT a Pink- magenta pearl over a steel blue, and it realy stood out.Dan

Hydraulics are cheaper? I assumed the airbags would be cheaper. I don't want it to hop I just want to be able to clear the speedbumps.

Are you using the engine to power the pump or is it electric? Do you need an air resevoir or is it all pump?I'm using a standard gm air pump, and small air tank to run them. They go from 1 1/2" to 5" high.

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
