John Norton aka johnboy
About a month ago John's son Rick shared that his dad had been hospitalized with a lung infection that they couldn't knock, and that while in the hospital he started showing signs of increasing dementia. The lung infection cleared, but the dementia remained. About a week ago John suffered a stroke and has now been moved to a nursing care facility. Rick said this morning that he's basically been non-communicative since the move, and seems to have lost the ability to reply, but does give an occasional sigh or grunt to things said to him. Hoping for the best, but John isn't doing well right now.Roger

Sounds like he's having a bad go of it, hope he responds soon.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Son Rick messaged me just now that John/johnboy passed away "...this morning, July 4th". Rest in Peace John. I'm glad to have known you, and to have had the pleasure of showing you around the Heartland USA back in 2014! You'll be missed by many.Roger

That’s something I didn’t wanna read. I was lucky enough to meet him and his wife when they traveled Route 66, don’t remember the year. I just remembered meeting him at Ted Drew’s custard stand along route 66 in St. Louis. Rest in peace my friend. Save us all a seat…… joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
