    Once upon a time long ago I was told the with a decent multimeter, signal generator and Oscope you should be able to diagnose and fix most everything electronic. On the mechanical side a lathe, milling machine and some good micrometers and one who knows how to use them will produce equal results.
    And you, sir, are the epitome on the mechanical side.

    That's very kind of you to say. But I am a complete amateur, I have the tools & equipment and enjoy "making stuff"...
