    Cub Cadet service

Some weeks back my Cub Cadet Model 73 had a throwout bearing failure.. I guess after 42 years it was bound to happen. So I ordered some parts and once in hand I slid the motor forward and pulled the driveshaft and tore down the clutch system.. only to discover the driveshaft was also damaged. I could've bought a replacement for 35 bucks.... but as my wife routinely reminds me. I've got machines and bundles of dollars tied up in tooling - plus I found I had a 1" piece of stock the length needed so what else to do but spin one out.
Since you like pics, here's a few - in no particular order of course!
