Crikey but that's pretty rough! I'd wager that the 'friend' is no longer on her Christmas card mailing list.
Tell Madison that we're sending good thoughts and aroha her way hoping she recovers quickly.

The case is being built, although lawyers will probably become involved,as we speak.

I'd concentrate on getting the police and prosecuting attorney interested in pursuing prosecution if that's what you want, before talking to any attorney and starting his clock running. You're dealing with kids who make stupid mistakes and don't have a pot to pee in. The idea of "....somebody paying" doesn't stand much of a chance, if you're thinking dollars. The alleged perpetrator may lose a few years of her life for stupid actions, and that's a high cost.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Due to the possibility of litigation and the climate surrounding social media I feel compelled to not have any further comment on this subject. I will say, though, the police department has not finished their investigation and accordingly no action will be taken until a full report is released.

Wise words Roger. The only ones that win are the attorneys.
