I need to replace the silent u shackles on the rear of
a 33 plymouth I have new old stock replacements and one has a left hand thread bushing. Anybody ever change theses ? Tips ? Tricks ? Have no clue which side the left threaded one goes to. Im thinking driver side , is it the top or bottom bushing
I'd say you're probably right on your hunch - left hand thread on left ( drivers) side. Mopar used to do it with their lug bolts/ nuts. But, not only have I NOT changed any.. I don't think I've ever seen any!! 8-)
Amazing that a u shape bolt can handle that much force from springs and driving around. Pretty good engineers back then.
