    He's taking basic training at Fort Jackson outside of Columbia, South Carolina. After boot he goes to Fort Lee south of Richmond, Virginia to learn how to weld. I think that is great. Once he becomes proficient in welding maybe he can help Ian put the Mustang back together.
    I am truly blessed as I have 2 grandsons and my oldest daughter on active duty and my youngest daughter spent 6 years in the US Navy as a Corpsman.

    my great nephew was sworn in this year. sadly they omitted part of the oath .

    Sadly there are many serving that shouldn't be. MEPS had my grandson's SSN wrong as well as my daughter's middle initial. Her being a Colonel helped remedy that situation but those types of mistakes are due to incompetence, IMHO.
